Ask a question with several options — single or multiple choice, with a deadline. The team is notified when it is created and reminded before it closes; when you close it, you record the outcome as a decision. That way the team decides visibly instead of losing itself in endless messages.

Can I find something from weeks ago?
Yes, through search with filters for channel, person and period. And because the channel hangs off the record, the record itself is the best filter.
